Remember the school days joking that RACQ ironically meant “RACE AROUND CORNERS QUICKLY”? Who would have thought at that age that it’d one day be quite a serious part of life in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Gold Coast and the entire state of Queensland? Did you know that you could use RACQ road side assistance service

Norma? Yes, you’ve seen the advertisments. Maybe even their Norma sky writing? The campaign works well. But they can get away with it being Australia’s largest car insurance company. With NRMA Insurance, it’s possible to get their No Claim Discount of 65% straight away when you switch your Comprehensive Car Insurance over to them. Better

Everyone in Australia knows that Melboune is Australia’s capital when it comes to motoring and the related industries. Like Detroit in USA. Not only are the manufacturers based there, but it’s also the popular starting point when wanting to drive along Great Ocean Road. I had the pleasure of using RACV in December 2009, It took me 9 phone calls to have a claim lodged, and then the consultant I spoke too on the phone was very rude and abupt. I was helping a friend out who had made 6 phone call before I made the final 3 calls for her. She asked me to do this for her, as she was going no where fast with them, I complained to the call centre manager about the consultants attitude and was told because I knew what I wanted she could not handle me. Anyway I had a policy with them as well but not any more. i have now changed Insurance companies and my firend that I was helping out will be as well after 25 years + of insurance with them and not making any claims this experience was very bad. Stay clear of this insurance company with a wide berth..

Bad experience with the RACV: sold my car and cancelled my insurance, but they simply kept on deducting premiums – was very rude when I brought this to their attention. Had to ask my bank to stop their deductions, and even after receiving the RACV ‘refund’ cheque on the balance of my insurance I kept getting RACV calls telling me that my policy was in arrears! Very shonky and disorganised company – stay away from the RACV!
